Credit Score Estimator
Get a rough idea of your credit health based on key factors. This is an educational tool only—your actual score comes from credit bureaus like CIBIL or Experian.
This is an educational estimator only. Your actual score comes from bureaus (CIBIL, Experian, etc.).
Tip
Your estimated profile is strong. Keep doing what you're doing.
What affects your credit score?
Lenders and credit bureaus (e.g. CIBIL, Experian in India) look at several factors: payment history (on-time vs late or missed payments), credit utilization (how much of your total limit you use—lower is better, often under 30%), age of credit (longer history can help), credit mix (a mix of cards and loans can be positive), and recent inquiries (too many applications in a short time can hurt). This estimator uses simplified weights to give you a band (Poor to Excellent) and a rough range. It is not your actual bureau score—use it only as an educational guide.
Your actual score (e.g. CIBIL 300–900) is computed by the bureau from your credit report. Banks and NBFCs use it to decide loan and card approvals and interest rates. Checking your real report periodically helps you spot errors and improve your profile. This tool helps you understand which factors matter before you check your report.
How to improve
To improve your credit health: pay all bills on time (EMIs, cards, utilities)—payment history has a large impact; keep utilization under 30% (e.g. if your total limit is ₹1 lakh, try not to owe more than ₹30,000 at a time); avoid applying for too much new credit in a short period, as each hard inquiry can temporarily lower your score; and maintain a healthy mix of credit if you can (e.g. one card and one loan). If you pay on time and keep utilization low, you will typically be in the Good or better range. Check your real report from a bureau or your bank at least once a year to see your actual score and to fix any errors.
Benefits of Using This Calculator
This credit score estimator gives you a rough band (Poor to Excellent) based on payment history, utilization, age of credit, mix, and inquiries, so you can see where you might stand before checking your actual report. It is educational and helps you understand which factors matter most and how they might affect your band.
Use it to improve habits and to set goals (e.g. bring utilization under 30%, avoid new applications). For your real score and to dispute errors, always check your report from a bureau (CIBIL, Experian, etc.) or through your bank. This tool is not a substitute for your official credit report.
How to Use This Calculator
Answer the questions about payment history, credit utilization, age of credit, credit mix, and recent inquiries. The tool uses simplified weights to output a score band (e.g. Fair, Good, Excellent) and a rough numeric range. It is not your actual CIBIL or bureau score—use it only to get an idea and to learn what affects credit health.
Be honest with your answers to get a more meaningful band. After using the estimator, check your actual report from a bureau or your bank for your real score and to fix any errors. Use the result to focus on the factors you can improve (e.g. paying on time, lowering utilization).
